Please join ACTS effort to put new shoes on each of the 402 kids enrolled in our two Ethiopian schools. Just $15 buys a pair of shoes that adjusts to grow as the child does!

ACTS has partnered with Because International to provide “The Shoe That Grows” for each of ACTS students along with their uniform. With shoes, kids are more healthy, attend school more often, and are more confident. The Shoe That Grows has 5x the impact of ordinary shoes because it expands 5 sizes and lasts for years. Without shoes, children are especially vulnerable to soil-transmitted diseases and parasites that can cause illness and even death. Children who get sick miss school, can’t help their families, and suffer needlessly. And since children’s feet grow so quickly, they often outgrow donated shoes within a year, leaving them once again exposed to illness and disease. These shoes are suited to the rugged terrain the young children must travel over to get to school. They also stand up well in wet environments.

Last month, Karen wore a pair herself to test them out. They are sturdy and comfortable. They provide great traction in wet and muddy soils.
